Weekend Homework
Each Friday I like to give you a little assignment to complete over the weekend that should be good for you and your significant other.
Last Friday for your weekend homework, I asked you to write a love letter to the special person in your life. I even put up a letter from me to my husband in case you were intimidated by the prospect.
This weekend I ask you to take the time to do something fun with the one you love and take some time away. Time away does not have to be as difficult as you think it might be.
Pack the kids away to the relatives if you would like to stay in and have time away from the usual. Or with a babysitter if you would like to get out and about.
My husband and I spend a lot of time working online, so time away from the usual would be a night with no computers and much cuddling while watching television. Or going out. Or just going for a walk.
If you have to work this weekend – like my husband does – then it does not have to necessarily be time spent apart if you are allowed to go into work with your significant other.
Taking time away does not have to be physically away so much as a change from the normal with a focus on just the two of you. Truly, any time can be a special time away from the normal if you are focused on each other. This weekend, take that time to focus on each other.
