How to Break Up With Your Girlfriend

by

Considering this site is here to talk about Long Relationships, I thought you might find this little bit of weekend entertainment amusing. It’s videos like these that make me glad I am out of the dating scene…and make me miss the roller coaster a bit, too. (Not that there aren’t plenty of highs and lows in marriage!)

This is a video from a post on YouTube Digger, and the full title is actually:

How to Break Up with Your Girlfriend in 64 Easy Steps

The sixty-four steps are grouped up into five phases:

Phase One: The Build Up – In which you find each other, reality sets in, you argue more, have sex less, and then argue some more before breaking up.

Phase Two: The Second Childhood – In which you rediscover your life, your likes, your sex life, your plans for the future…and then meet up at your ex-girlfriends place to have casual drinks and then sex.

Phase Three: The Back Together – In which you get back together.

Phase Four: The Third Childhood – Just like the second childhood, but with a lot less enthusiasm.

Phase Five: The Recovery – In which you learn how to be alone right before you get a new girlfriend.

It reminds me entirely too much of high school and the never-ending cycle of drama. (Then again, something could be said for a similar cycle of arguing and forgiving in marriages…)

I hope you can appreciate the humor, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your significant other.
