First Wedding Anniversary Comment Contest

by JM

confetti.jpgI love spreading the love, especially when something good is happening in my life. That’s why, to celebrate my first wedding anniversary, I am giving away some sweet prizes (pun fully intended). And it’s easy for you to win!

So, what is the contest… Well, I am holding Long Relationships’ very first 100 comments contest. What does that mean? That means we are going to try to get to 100 comments on this site in one month – from today (May 5th) to June 5th.

Can you do it, dear readers? I think you can. Why? Because a lot of people are willing to do a lot of things (like tell all your friends to stop by and comment) for some free chocolate.

Gasp! Yes, you read right! I am giving away not one, but four blocks (200g) – blocks! – of chocolate. I have two blocks of milk chocolate and two blocks of dark chocolate ready and waiting to bring pleasure into your life.

heart.jpgI also have a very special prize to give to the 100th commenter: a bag of Australia’s delectable honeycomb and chocolate treat – Violet Crumbles. Mmm. Not only that, but also a selection of Australian goodies picked out by yours truly.

And all you have to do is comment…

If you comment on this post, tell me what kind of chocolate you lie – white, milk, or dark – and why. That’s all you have to do. Feel free to say more, but also feel free to talk about just that.

After that, any comment you leave on any posts (starting May 5th and up to June 5th) will be included in the contest. I’ll be keeping track of everything, so you don’t have to worry about anything other than stopping by and having your say.

See? It’s easy! So tell your friends to get their butts over here and comment.

My husband has chosen four random numbers, each in one section of numbers. (One number between 1 and 25, one number between 25 and 50, etc.) If one of your comments lands on one of those numbers, then you will have your very own block of chocolate on its way to you all the way from Australia!

Be sure to check back often because I will announce the winners as they match up with the number comment. Also make sure you always comment with a valid email address.

So spread the word and spread the love people. It’s my anniversary!

Dark chocolate, of course. It has more of the key essentials in it and less milk. Milk is for cheese and good cheese goes with dark chocolate.

I really should not have skipped lunch - I’m sure I could hae made more sense if I had eaten lunch!

  2. Aud Says:

First time I’m here and I found your blog via Blog Catalog.
Your first wedding anniversary? Congrats! Hope you will have many more happy years together. :) By the way, I have just started a Love Q weekly meme at my blog touching on love topics. Wanna join for some fun and links?

  3. Gillian Says:

That reminds me, I’ll toast you with those drinks i’m testing for the banquet.

  4. Shannon Says:

Happy Anniversary:-) Did your husband like the surprise letter you left for him on the blog?
I like dark chocolate and I usually buy it once a month and on special occasions.
You better be careful, you mention chocolate and you might have 100 posts in one day lol.

  5. Randi Says:

    Mmmm…chocolate…yummm! Can I play?!

  6. JM Says:

Gillian - I knew you would pick dark chocolate. I am finding a love for it myself, truth be told. :) I’ll drink to that. ;)

Aud - Welcome to the site! It’s always good to see new faces (names). Thank you for the congratulations and the link!

Shannon - Thank you. :) Yes, he liked it very much. He gets the cutest look on his face…

Special occasions? Well, if you hit on one of the right number comments, we’ll call it a special occasion. And you don’t even have to share. ;)

Randi - You can always play with me. :D Now why does that sound so dirty?

  7. margie Says:

    Happy anniversary!

  8. Jenera Says:

    Ooh, how fun!

I personally love milk chocolate because it’s oh so creamy.

  9. JM Says:

    Margie - Thank you!

Jenera - I’m mostly like you. Yum yum to creamy milk chocolate. :)

  10. Gillian Says:

Jenera, I’ll generously give you all the milk chocolate that JM is offering if it comes my way by mistake. I like the creaminess, but it tastes too sugary for me.

  11. JM Says:

If you win, Gillian, and there is still a block of dark chocolate left, you’ll have dark chocolate. :)

  12. Gillian Says:

    You are so kind :).

  13. Kyla Says:

I don’t think I’ve met a chocolate that I don’t like, though I do prefer European chocolate over American chocolate. I love white chocolate and milk chocolate. Dark chocolate I like, though perhaps not quite as much. Though I do love it filled with caramel and other goodies.

    Happy Anniversary!

  14. JM Says:

    Gillian - Always a pleasure. :)

Kyla - It sounds like you and I have a lot in common! I loooove caramel in chocolate. Yummy.

  15. Sandra Says:

Dark. It’s more concentrated and you get more of a rush from it. I like it all though.:)

  16. JM Says:

Sandra - Very good point, though I like it all as well. ;)
